Why this log exists

I have made the same decision twice more times than I want to admit. Not because it was hard — because I never wrote down what it cost the first time. The reasoning evaporates. What survives is a vague feeling that it went fine, which is exactly the feeling that gets you into it again.

So this is the fix. Every entry here is one decision: what I chose, what I gave up, what the numbers did for the next ninety days. Not advice. A log.

Two rules I am holding myself to. First, the number goes in even when it is bad — especially when it is bad, because the bad ones are the only ones that teach anything. Second, no entry gets written while I still think I was right. I wait until the result is in.

If you run something and you are making the same call for the second time, this is written for you. It is mostly written for me.

Tell me the actual problem.

Crew shortages. A cleaning contract that keeps failing audit. A team that needs capacity without another local hire. A room that needs a speaker. Say which one and I will tell you straight whether I can help.
